The work specified in this Section will not apply to materials designated as hazardous waste by 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 262 Time is of the essence in this Contract and the time periods described herein shall be strictly enforced by the Department. Prior to beginning work under this Contract, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval, two copies of the Contractor's proposed plan and methods for performing the work, including a listing of equipment and personnel anticipated for use. No U-turns shall be permitted as a condition of this Contract, except at Service Plazas. The Contractor shall perform all work during day and night time hours and in accordance with the Turnpike Lane Closure Policy. For this contract pay item E101 72 Mobilization (Emergency Response) will be used in combination with the pay item E106 72 only when the Department authorizes an emergency work site location.
