As f April 18, 2022. The project has been awarded Thomas County Middle School amounting of $321,813.96 and Hand-in-Hand Primary School amounting of $82,545.00 with the total awarded amount of $404,358.96. Request for proposals for new intercom system for Thomas County Middle School w/Add Alternate for Hand-in-Hand Primary School The Thomas County School System reserves the right to waive technicalities in the bid process and to award the bid to the vendor that provides the overall best proposal including product, price, and service that the school board deems to be in the best interest of the school system. Work must be completed between May 21, 2022, and August 1, 2022. The bid bond must be in an amount equal to 5% of the total contract amount. In lieu of a bid bond, the school system will accept a cashier's check, certified check, or cash deposit in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total contract amount. If the bid does not exceed $300,000, the system may also accept an irrevocable letter of credit in lieu of the bid bond. No bid or proposal shall be complete unless a bid bond has been submitted.Performance bonds: A performance bond is required for an amount equal to the contract amount for all public works construction projects that exceed $100,000.00 and are subject to the requirements of the Local Government Public Works Construction Law.
