The Town of Robbins NC located in Moore County has a need of Public Works services. The Town is proposing to apply to Sewer AIA for funding and will request assistance in this process. (RD Apply loan/grants) Therefore, the Town of Robbins is soliciting requests for qualifications for professional engineering services to assist the Town in both a) developing a preliminary engineering report, and b) subsequent engineering design and bid package services and construction inspection services, of this project in compliance with all applicable federal requirements and regulations under the AIA project. Payment terms will be negotiated with the selected firm. Scope of Work: Engineering services shall include, but are not limited to, standard tasks necessary for the implementation of the project in conformance with AIA and NCDEQ compliance areas: Preparing and approval of the engineering report (PER) after approval of funding, the following scope of work is required: The TOWN OF ROBBINS will enter into a contract with the engineering firm best qualified to provide the requested services. Interested parties should submit the following items in packet form to the Town of Robbins for consideration (electronic submissions will be accepted, however we ask that you provide this information in a single PDF file): 1. Firm profile including staff size and rate structure. 2. Statement on your experience with sewer infrastructure design and environmental surveys especially related to towns including information on projects you have completed. 3. Narrative (no more than 2 pages) on your management and organization approach to projects to include the following: a. Description of how the Firm typically organizes to perform project services b. Description of your team's approach to communication with the Town 4. Three (3) references that will assist the Town in determining the capability of the Firm. 5. Familiarity with Locality. 6. Hourly Rate Schedule. Qualifications will be reviewed by a selection committee and a recommendation will be forwarded to the Town Council for consideration in March 2022.
After considering factors outlined above, the engineering firm will be selected based on qualifications most advantageous to the Town, subject to negotiation of fair and reasonable compensation. The Engineer will be notified by mail of the Town's selection.
