Site work and paving for a civil project in Des Peres, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Scope of Work consists of full-depth reclamation and asphalt resurfacing of both streets. Stormwater structures and piping will be installed and upgraded on Highland Avenue and concrete curbs will be installed at specified locations on both streets. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications. Plans are marked "For Bidding-Not for Construction" because MSD approval is conditional upon acquisition and recording of easements. Easement acquisition is underway and we anticipate having them all secured by mid-April. The asphalt specifications include Asphalt Price Indexing. However, there will not be price adjustments for fuel or other costs. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
