Hoffman Construction Company, Construction Manager/General Contractor ("CM/GC") for OSU ARTS AND EDUCATION COMPLEX ("AEC") ("Project") being performed for Oregon State University ("Owner") requests sub-bid proposals for Bid Package #5 - "RCB" All Other Work (Re-bid). Owner and Contractor are committed to promoting and stimulating the growth of disadvantaged business enterprises, minority business enterprises, women business enterprises, emerging small businesses, and service-disabled veteran business enterprises (D/M/W/ESB/SDVBE) and maximizing opportunities for these firms to participate in the work of this project. Contractor has an aspirational goal of 20% of Project construction costs being performed by D/M/W/ESB/SDVBE firms. Subcontractor shall endeavor to utilize such firms through sub-tier contracting and/or material purchases and shall provide documentation of their good faith efforts and achievements. Subcontractor's shall fully comply with the Senate Bill 5721 and workforce requirements. For subcontracts of $200,000 or more the following applies: Employ apprentices to perform 15 percent of the work hours that workers in apprenticeable occupations perform under the contract, in a manner consistent with the apprentices' respective apprenticeship training programs; Establish and execute a plan for outreach, recruitment and retention of women, minority individuals and veterans to perform work under the contract, with the aspirational target of having at least 15 percent of total work hours performed by individuals in one or more of those groups; Provide health insurance and retirement benefits to workers.
