The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education is accepting bids only from gymnasium equipment contractors for a gymnasium basketball backstop replacement project at their high school in Winnetka, Illinois.
The gymnasium equipment contractor will act as the project general contractor. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, accessories, engineering, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: selective demolition, cutting and patching masonry; interior painting, gymnasium equipment, and electrical work. The work site is New Trier Township High School, the Winnetka Campus, 385 Winnetka Avenue, Winnetka, IL 60093. On-site construction work is scheduled to commence during the 2022 summer break on Monday, June 13, 2022.
Access to the work area is limited due to ongoing adjacent construction. Enter the school at the north Trevian Way entrance. A Bidder's failure to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be considered grounds for rejection of the Contractor's bid.
It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded at the regular Board of Education meeting on Monday, April 18, 2022. Shop drawings must be included with the bid.
The Contractor must pay union wages for all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing the work under this contract. A project labor agreement ("PLA") is in place for the project. The PLA will, among other things, govern the use of trade labor for the project. All prime contractors and subcontractors performing work will be required to become signatory to the PLA and bound by its terms. The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the School District.
