The Project entails demolition of existing 8" fire water line to the theater, demolition of existing 3" domestic water line to the theater, demolition of existing concrete valve boxes, installation of new underground fire water service to the building. Reconnect new piping to existing fire riser in basement of building. Reconnect to existing Fire Department connection. Install new backflow preventer for fire water service. New backflow preventer shall be installed on new concrete pad and shared with domestic water BFP. Install new tamper switches on fire water backflow preventer and connect to BMS. Install new underground domestic water service to the theater. Connect new piping to existing domestic water piping in basement of building. Installation of new backflow preventer for domestic water service. Installation of new domestic water shut-off valve in new concrete valve box. Contractor must coordinate its work with a scheduled power shut-down, as well as ongoing day-to-day operations of an active school site. This project requires Prevailing Wages and is covered by the District's Construction Careers Agreement with the Santa Clara and San Benito Building & Construction Trades Council.
