Project Location: Griffith Lift Station, 2101 North Cline, Griffith, IN 46319 1. Project includes installation per design the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, racking, ballast, inverters, and electrical connective equipment on the grounds of the Town of Griffith, Indiana. Install AC panel boxes for collecting the AC power from the inverters and distribute to the electrical service. Install connective equipment from the AC panels to the Indiana Michigan Power utility transformer. a. Griffith Lift Station, 215 kWdc / 188 kWac: 1) Work includes all materials required to ground mount 448 solar panels, connect to 3 inverters, connect to AC collector panels, and interconnect to the main distribution panel at 277/480V (3-phase, Delta-grounded WYE) per the plans included in this packet. Work also includes all required grounding and Ethernet connections of the equipment. 2) Any conductors in contact with or buried beneath the ground will need to be enclosed or encased in conduit that will prevent deterioration due to the composition of the soil. Buried conductors must be installed by an OSHA HAZWOPER 40hr certified contractor. a) Schedule 80 PVC for direct buried conduit b) Schedule 40 for concrete encased conduit c) Galvanized rigid conduit with 1mil of asphaltic coating for direct bury 3) Install Solar Log solar site monitoring system. The inverters will be connected to the Base Station through the Ethernet or connected via RS-485 cable. System will include a) Solar Log Base Station b) Utility Grade Meter 4) All zoning and construction permitting will be completed by the Contractor with the Town of Griffith. Any bid received after the above-designated time will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Bid summaries and recommendations will be made in public during the Griffith Town Council meeting on April 19, 2022 at 7:00 PM local time. That meeting will take place at 111 North Broad Street, Griffith, IN 46319. All bids shall be accompanied by (1) completed Itemized Proposal, (2) completed Form 96 with required attachments, (3) Non-discrimination affidavit as required by the laws of the State of Indiana, (4) Bid security, as described below, and (5) Other bidding documents as described in the instructions to bidders. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each bid. Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check. If the Bidder withdraws a bid within sixty (60) days after the opening date, without consent of the Owner or fails to execute a satisfactory contract within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance, the Owner may declare the bid deposit forfeited as liquidated damages. The successful Bidder will be required to carry Workmen's Compensation, Employee's Liability Insurance and Comprehensive Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance in amounts and with companies satisfactory to the owner. In addition, the contractor shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the Contract Sum. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days, or as otherwise stated in the Contract Documents before awarding the contract.
