The Town of Rockingham, VT is accepting bids from Chip Seal Contractors for chip seal work as shown on the attached maps. The project includes 10% rubber chip seal, 3/8" stone application, traffic control and sweeping. The bid is anticipated to be awarded by the Town Select Board within the next two selectboard meetings (4/5 /2 2 or 4/19/22). BIDDER hereby agrees to complete the work under the contract between August 1, 2022 and September 1, 2022. In the event the work is not completed by September 1, 2022, BIDDER agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of four hundred ($400.00) dollars for each consecutive calendar day until work is complete, unless such delay is caused by the actions or inactions of the Town, or conditions reasonably determined to be out of the control of the Chosen Contractor.
