New construction of a recreation facility in Huron, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the construction of a 140,000-square-foot, one-story above grade recreation facility.

The project will consist of a new 140,000 SF livestock and events complex on the campus of the South Dakota State Fair. As of April 11, 2022, this package was let and awards for subcontractors are pending. *The closed solicitation below is kept for reference.* _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Prevailing wages are not required on this Project. This Project is not tax exempt. Work on the project shall be commenced within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the Owner and shall be substantially completed no later than June 28th, 2023 and ready for final inspection/ acceptance no later than July 28th, 2023 subject to the adjustments of the contract time as provided in the contract documents. Should the contractor fail to substantially complete the work within the time set forth herein, or within such extra time as may have been allowed by increases in the contract, or by formally approved extensions granted by the Owner, the Contractor and the Contractor's surety shall be liable for and shall pay the Owner $750.00 as liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the work is substantially complete. After Substantial Completion, if the Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work as outlined in the approved punch list, subject to adjustments of the contract time as provided in the contract documents, the Contractor shall be liable for and shall pay the Owner $375.00 as liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the Work is completed and ready for final inspection/acceptance.
