Site work for a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
The existing LFG extraction system at the Site requires improvements to address LFG migration concerns and condensate buildup in the lateral pipes. a. Installation of new vertical and horizontal extraction wells; b. Installation of new gas extraction wellheads; c. New headers located lower on slopes than LFG wells with laterals sloped downhill to the headers; d. Installation of new condensate sumps with pumps and leachate extraction wellheads to get the condensate out of the sumps; and, e. Installation of new compressed air supply lines, new force main pipe, and other items as shown on the drawings in the technical specifications. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Furthermore, the City's goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract.
