As of August 1, 2022, project was awarded to John Claar Excavating, Inc., awarded amount is $194,886.89. This project consists of work at each one of three small parks in Scott Township. Work includes but is not limited to paving, crushed stone paths, formalizing stone parking areas, achieving ADA compliant grades, topsoil and seed, installation of benches and signs, a gaga pit, and fencing. Coordination with certified playground installers and court coating installer will be required. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE - 6/1/2022 5:00 PM Bid security in the form of a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance (100%), Payment (100%), and Maintenance (10% for 12 months) in such form as meets the approval of the Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are listed on the U.S. Treasures Circular 570 and authorized to perform services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, prior to award of a contract, in accordance with the Public Works Contractor's Bond Law of 1967, Act of December 20, 1967, P.L. 869,8 P.S. 191 et Seq.. The bid results will be forwarded to the Township Supervisors, and read aloud at the Supervisors regular meeting on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 350 Tenny Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. The Supervisors will review the bid results, and may award a contract at the meeting, or at another meeting announced at the April 20, 2022 meeting, or advertised in accordance with the Township Code. This is a Federal Wage Rate job. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The successful Contractor will need to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system, and meet the requirements of PA Act 127, the Public Works Employment Verification Law. The Project is being financed by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and Columbia County through the American Rescue Plan. The Contractor is required to comply with all the requirements of the Grant Contracts applicable to the Contractor, and to cooperate with the Township in complying with its obligations as Grantee. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informalities, irregularities, or technicalities, including typographical errors, in the bids.
