Renovation of a residential development in Zia Pueblo, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Pueblo of Zia (POZ) is requesting proposals from Registered Architectural Firms that are qualified and licensed within the State of New Mexico, to design floor plans (two three-bedroom and two four-bedroom) for residential homes. The floor plans for each home will be fully owned by POZ. Services provided would include complete architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, design services. In addition, the following services will be included. Housing constructed by using these plans and specification packages must meet current building code for the State of New Mexico, Title 14 building codes adopted by the Pueblo of Zia. Typical housing includes slab on grade, wood frame, drywall and stucco finish. Variations of flooring, paint color, cabinets, etc. must be accommodated. POZ complies with the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act. This procurement is subject to the Section 7(b) clause of said act that provides that to the greatest extent feasible preference in the award of contracts and employment opportunities shall be given to Indian Organizations and Indian-Owned Economic Enterprises. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
