https://brookingsregister.com/article/agendas-04-07-22 Awarding of bids for the Western Avenue sanitary sewer lift station consolidation project _______________ Such bids are to provide for the following approximate Work Quantities: 184 LF of 8 PVC Sewer Main Pipe, 2,250 LF of 10 PVC Sewer Main Pipe, 620 LF of 15 PVC Sewer Main Pipe, sanitary sewer manholes, 1,520 Ton of Aggregate Base Course, 850 Ton of Gravel Surfacing, 1,000 Ton of Asphalt Concrete, Epoxy Pavement Marking, Railroad Protective Insurance, seeding, erosion control, and miscellaneous items. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Complete sets of Bidding Documents will be provided as downloadable portable document format (PDF) files. Bidders shall check for Addendums. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, such check to be certified or issued by either a State or National Bank, and payable to Brookings Municipal Utilities, or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety a uthorized to do business in this State and payable to the Brookings Municipal Utilities. The check or bond will be retained by Brookings Municipal Utilities as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into a contract and performance bond in accordance with the bid when notified. All bidders are required to hold all applicable South Dakota tax licenses. Bidder is required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount not less than the contract price, for the faithful performance of the contract. Contractor shall promptly pay all persons supplying him/her with labor or material in the performance of the work provided for in the contract. By virtue of Statutory Authority, preference will be given to materials, products, and supplies found or procured within the State of South Dakota. All bids must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope and shall state on the left-hand corner of the envelope Western Avenue Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Consolidation Project. Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the actual opening thereof.
