This solicitation is for the airfield striping repair work for The State of Louisiana, Department of Military Affairs, located at Louisiana Army National Guard - Army Aviation Support Facility, 1501-C Industrial Park Road, Hammond, LA 70401. The job is to be performed in accordance with the enclosed scope of work and specifications. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a bid security (insurance company, bank money order, certified check, or cashiers check made payable to State of Louisiana - Department of Military Affairs) must be included with the bidders submission in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the agency in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth in the bid solicitation. Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. Please refer to Attachment A: Special Terms and Conditions page four (4) for complete details of this requirement. Contractor will provide all labor, commercial grade materials, tools, and equipment necessary to provide the following work at the Army Aviation Support Facility #1, 1501-C Industrial Park Road, Hammond, LA 70401. Restriping of airfield markings. Existing markings are clearly visible but have been degraded by the weather. New paint and glass beads are needed to improve night time visibility. DIVISION 2 - SITE WORK, 02765 PAVEMENT MARKINGS 1. Reapply striping of airfield markings. Regulatory guidance is Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular Number 150/5340-1M, Change 1, Standards for Airfield Markings and FAA Advisory Circular Number 150/5370-10H, Standard Specifications for Construction of Airports. 2. The regulatory guidance above will include, but not limited to: a) Preparation of surface prior to painting. b) Type of paint to be used. (page 521, 620-2.2, AC 150/5370-10H) c) Color of paint to be used. d) Type and density of glass beads to be mixed in the paint.
