Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Hammond, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Proposals for just cause in accordance with Louisiana Public Bid Law, Louisiana Revised Statute 38:2211, et seq., which does not permit waiving any provision of Louisiana Revised Statute 38:2212, concerning advertisement and letting, or waiving any provision included in the Proposal Documents. The City shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until a Contract between the City and Contractor is fully executed. Estimated Construction Cost $275,000 Contract Term 150 Calendar days. A Bid Bond payable to the Owner must accompany each Bid for five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid. As soon as the Bid prices have been compared and checked, the Owner will return the Bonds of all except the three lowest responsible Bidders. When the Agreement is executed the bonds of the two remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The Bid Bond of the successful Bidder will be retained until the Payment Bond and Performance Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract.
