Renovation of a water / sewer project in Edmonds, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project will remove and treat the hydrogen sulfide gas that is being released into the atmosphere from a City owned sewer mainline and private roof vents in the area of Pine St and 2nd/3rd Ave S. The gas has a rotten egg smell which results in numerous complaints from residents in the area. An activated carbon odor scrubber was identified as the most efficient and effective method of capturing and destroying the nuisance odor. This project is included in the City of Edmonds' FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of March 31, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Funding for construction is anticipated in 2022.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
