Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Haverford Township, Pennsylvania. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Township of Haverford seeks Proposals from qualified consultants for the design and permitting of proposed improvements to the intersection of Glendale Road and Burmont Road in the Drexel Hill section of the Township. The proposed project includes the extension of the Darby Creek Trail from its current terminus at Merry Place Park to the new intersection, as well as a well-defined and well-marked pedestrian crossing to the trail extension. In addition, the proposed project will reconstruct/re-align the sidewalk from Lisa Circle to the intersection. Funding for this project is secured through a Multimodal Transportation Fund grant. All design and construction must meet all required guidelines for the use of grant funds for the project. The method of procurement is competitive negotiations. The modified selection method will be used. The Township of Haverford encourages responses from small firms, minority firms and firms who have not previously performed work for the Township. As of January 4, 2024, the design firm have been selected. The construction document completion timeline has not been determined. A tentative bid schedule for contractors is scheduled have not been released. Further details regarding firm construction and completion timelines have not been released.
