Renovation of an educational facility in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 90-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.

Project consists of the following: Construction of a new pedestrian bridge spanning Cedar Avenue from SPHS to football field with a three stop passenger elevator including steel frame stairs to grade as detailed and specified in the Contract Documents. The Form of Agreement, Specifications, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bonds, and other bidding instruments may be examined at the following locations: All bidders must register with the Engineer as any addenda and communications concerning this project will only be issued to registered plan holders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality, to reject any or all bids to provide best value for Marion County Schools. All Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Tennessee in strict accordance with State regulations. No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the name, license number, the date of the license's expiration, and the classification of the contractor. Failure of any bidder to comply therewith shall void such bid and the envelope containing such bid shall not be opened or considered. In the case of joint ventures bids, each party submitting the bid must provide this information. All Bidders shall comply with the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976 and as amended (TCA Title 62). All Bidders shall comply with the Tennessee Contractor' License law Section 62-6-119 (Bid documents-Required disclosure by bidders) when submitting bids. All bidders shall adhere to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act enacted in 1964 which states that "No person in the United States shall, on grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance", state of Tennessee funding, and/or Marion County funding. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening. Employees of the selected contractors must have a sexual predator background check performed prior to entering any Marion County school grounds as per Tennessee Code Annotated Section 49-5-413.
