PN-2021-048.00 The Chicopee Housing Authority (CHA) invites sealed bids from electrical contractors for the fire alarm system upgrade at the 8-3 Canterbury Arms Apartments in Chicopee. The work is estimated to cost $245,500. DCAM certification in Electric is required. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.l49 44AJ and to federal Davis- Bacon wage rates. This project is subject to Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968 and to a Chicopee Housing Authority 10.4% MWBE bid requirement. Bid submittals must be accompanied by a bid deposit equal to 5% of the contractor's total bid including alternates payable to the Chicopee Housing Authority. Qualified Section 3, minority and women owned firms are urged to respond The Project consists of replacement ofthe existing fire alarm system with a new fully addressable Fire-Lite fire alarm system. Installation of a new fire alarm system with new Fire-Lite control panel and associated smoke, carbon monoxide and heat detectors. Fire-Lite is a proprietary specification; no substitutes are permitted.
