The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for a contractor to perform placing and compaction of inert waste deposited at the Homer Transfer Facility. Contractor will be responsible for providing dozer to perform placing and compaction work. One (1) complete set of the bid package may be submitted electronically through BidExpress.com or in hard copy to the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Purchasing and Contracting Department at 47140 E Poppy Lane, Soldotna, Alaska 99669. Q&A DEADLINE: APRIL 4, 2022 BY 5:00 PM. Work shall commence on July 1, 2022 and, subject to assembly or mayor approval and assembly appropriation, shall terminate on June 30, 2024. The Contract, upon the written agreement of the parties, may be extended for up to two (2) one-year terms. This Contract is subject to annual approval of funding by the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly and is subject to termination and cancellation as set out in the Contract Documents. Extension, if offered by the Borough, must be accepted in writing delivered to the Borough within 10 days of the date of the offer. Prior to and as a condition precedent to extension, Contractor must provide a current Certificate of Insurance, current Business License, and current Tax Compliance Certificate showing full compliance with the Borough tax code.
