Project No. 220108.1 LBWD anticipates the start of construction of the Project in May 2022. The construction cost for the Project is $3,860,322. Project includes construction of new 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe, wax tape of ductile iron flanges, tape wrap and polyethylene wrapped ductile iron fittings, couplings, thrust blocks, valve anchors; installation of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch gate valves; installation of 12-inch insertion valves; installation of 1-inch and 2-inch water services, fire services and air relief valve assemblies; installation of fire hydrant assemblies; installation of 2-inch blow-off assemblies; connections to existing water mains; installation of PVC casing; relocation of existing sewer laterals; abandonment of existing water main, services, valves and fire hydrant laterals; removal and disposal of existing fire hydrant head and bury; appurtenant items such as traffic control, pavement removal and replacement, excavation, backfill and compaction, pressure testing and disinfection, and all other work necessary to complete this project complete under the direction of the Long Beach Water Department.
