Project Number- 10120001591 The proposed Project is to construct a new wide diamond interchange at the existing McKinley Avenue undercrossing on State Route 120. Specific improvements include the following: o The diagonal off-ramps in the northeast and southwest quadrants; o The diagonal on-ramps in the northwest and southeast quadrants. o Widen McKinley Avenue to six lanes underneath the existing structures - two 12-feet through lanes in each direction and two 12-feet left-turn lanes; it will consist of two 5-feet shoulders, accommodating a Class II bicycle lane in each direction, and sidewalk on the east side of the road. o Retaining (tie-back and ground anchor) walls underneath the existing SR 120 structures to obtain the necessary width on McKinley Avenue without replacing the structures. o Acceleration and deceleration lanes for all the on/off ramps. o Install pavement markings, roadside signs, and overhead sign. o New traffic signals and lighting. o Utility work to be done by the Contractor includes coordination the relocation of the existing overhead PG&E electrical, construct new drainage facilities, removal of existing sewer line and construction of a new sewer line in McKinley Ave and along the eastbound off-ramp.
