Board of Trustees of the State Center Community College District will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and services for Bid , Greenhouse Upgrades, Reedley College. The proposed project will be in the greenhouse area at Reedley College. Work to be performed will include new controls for evaporative coolers, new furnace heaters, temperature monitoring, lighting, demo and concrete work as per scope of work included in bid documents. Subcontractors are encouraged to prequalify using the District CUPCCAA prequalification form available at Electronically. Prospective bidders shall be required to have a valid Class B Contractor's License. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond, a Performance Bond, Workers Compensation and General Liability as required by the Contract Documents. The successful bidder shall also be required to enter into a written agreement on a form provided by the District. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any informality in the receiving of bids, and consider quality, convenience, and reasonable qualifications as well as price in making awards. 1. Two new furnace heaters.
2. Two pads for two new evaporative coolers.
a. One on North end of the North Greenhouse.
b. One on South end of the South Greenhouse.
c. Relocate and reroute conduit.
3. Demo existing furnaces and unused equipment. Cut and cap existing hydronic piping one foot
above ground level and remove remaining existing hydronic radiant heating system.
4. Duct, piping, and electrical connections to the new equipment.
5. Main control (controllers tied together) with heater and cooler.
6. Sawcut/remove/replace concrete between greenhouse and neighboring classroom building for
new underground raceway to tie in power and communications for new controls.
7. New controls for (x4) evaporative collers, (x2) furnace heaters, window damper actuators,
temperature and relative humidity monitoring both inside and outside of greenhouse buildings,
lighting controls, and additional spare IO for future control items.
8. Schedule 40 PVC conduit used inside of greenhouse above ground and GRC conduit used on
exterior of building.
9. New hardware to open windows via new controls based on space temperature.
10. (x2) radiant heat control valves and (x2) booster pumps.
