The Teton County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids for 30,000 tons of crushed gravel excavated from the Schenk Pit and consisting of 22,500 tons of 1-1/4" crushed road mix, 6,000 tons 1/2" crushed road mix and 1,500 tons of 5/8-1" fractured rock. Successful bidder will be responsible for opening the pit and all aspects of crushing. Proof of Air Quality Permit, MSHA proof of liability insurance and independent contractor's license or worker's compensation coverage required. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit of 10% and shall be in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond payable to Teton County. Bid deposit shall be returned after completion of crushing and meeting specification requirements. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Gravel Crushing Bid" to the Teton County Commissioners' office located at the Teton County Courthouse, 1 Main Ave. S, Choteau, MT. The project must commence within two (2) weeks upon the award of the successful bidder and must be completed within 60 days. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities which are deemed to be in the best interest of Teton County.
