The Maryland Park Service is seeking a contractor to construct, maintain, and operate "glamping" campsites, with expanded amenities, at Big Run State Park, 10368 Savage River Road, Swanton MD 21561 with an option to operate additional sites at other Maryland State Parks. The contractor would be responsible for making reservations, maintaining the campsites to Park Service Standards, enforcing park rules and regulations and communicating to staff any issues that may arise. Maintaining of sites will include mowing, keeping fire rings clean and site surface clean. It will also include the sale of firewood, provision of restroom facilities and trash removal for campers. Acceptable lodging units may include raised platforms, tents, cabins, or tiny houses. The qualified vendor(s) will be required to provide the lodging, all equipment, personnel, and supplies required to operate the concession.
