The City of Marietta, will receive sealed bids for the materials and labor necessary for the construction of the Glendale Extension Waterline Replacement Phase 1 and 2 Project. The City of Marietta, may choose to not award the bid-and bidders shall hold bids open-until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: Installation of a new 8-IN & 10-IN waterline. The work will include installation of water mains, water service lines, associated valves, hydrants, pavement repair, Sediment & Erosion control, and temporary traffic control. The cost estimate for the Project is $1,286,895 Base Bid and $1,982,950 for Base Bid plus Alternate.Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide the surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by a date agreed to by Owner and Contractor. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their work. Payment of Ohio Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The City of Marietta reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in the City's opinion, offers the lowest and best bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
