Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in New Britain, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Housing Authority of the City of New Britain is soliciting proposals from licensed asphalt paving contractors under the laws of the State of Connecticut, to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete all work as specified or reasonably implied in the RFP, relating to asphalt paving, sealcoat & striping of the Mt Pleasant/Bond St. development. The Housing Authority of the City of New Britain (hereinafter the Authority) is soliciting sealed bids/proposals from qualified, licensed contractors with demonstrated competence and experience to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary under the laws of the State of Connecticut, work as herein specified or reasonably implied relating to paving of parking lots, sealcoating & striping the Mt Pleasant property owned by the Authority. Prospective Bidders acknowledge by receiving the RFP documents and/or submitting a bid to NBHA is not a right by which to be awarded a contract, but merely is an offer by the prospective bidder to perform the requirements of the RFP documents in the event NBHA decides to consider awarding a contract to that Bidder. Questions Submissions due Date: April 4, 2022 Time: 3:00 PM Direct General Inquiries To: Yseline Gadson ygadson@nbhact.org By April 4, 2022 NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM All Answers and Addendums to the Solicitation will be posted on NBHA's website Bid Bond: The Bid Bond shall be for five percent (5%) of the bid sum plus all "add" alternates (if applicable). The Bid Bond shall be secured by a surety company authorized to do business in the state of Connecticut and on the U.S. Treasury Circular Number 570. NBHA will also accept a Certified or Cashier's Check for five percent (5%) of the bid sum. The bid security, whether in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check, must be submitted with the bid. The Bid Bond shall be submitted on NBHA's Form Payment & Performance Bond: The Payment & Performance Bond shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and extend through one year guarantee period. The Payment & Performance Bond shall be secured by a surety company authorized to do business in the state of Connecticut. The Housing Authority will also accept Separate Payment & Performance Bonds (each for one hundred percent (100%) or more of the contract price), a twenty percent (20%) Cash Escrow, or a twenty five percent (25%) irrevocable letter of credit. The bid security, whether in the form of a Payment & Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, Separate Payment & Performance Bonds (each for one hundred percent (100%) or more of the contract price), a twenty percent (20%) Cash Escrow, or a twenty-five percent (25%) Irrevocable Letter of Credit, must be submitted at the time of contract award. NBHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the RFP process, or to terminate the process at any time, if deemed by NBHA to be in its best interest.
