The Sheldon Road Municipal Utility District (District) is requesting bids for the installation of approximately 4,150 linear feet 8-inch water line, including appurtenances such as water valves, fire hydrants, and water service reconnections in the Sheldon Woods Subdivision (Section 3) Service Area. A cashier's check or Certified Check from a Texas Bank, or acceptable Bid Bond from a reliable surety company authorized to do business in Texas, payable to the District, in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents.The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS on the forms furnished with the PROPOSAL, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The deadline to ask questions is 4/13/2022 12:00 PM CST This project will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Harris County Community Services Department (HCCSD). Applicable requirements include, but are not limited to compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Federal Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority, and disadvantage firms, as detailed in the project manual.
