The Jefferson County Department of Community Services & Workforce Development desires to enter into one or more contract(s) for professional services of an Archaeologist for the Brighton Sidewalks Improvements Project in support of its federal programs and other activities administered through the Jefferson County Department of Community Services & Workforce Development. The Jefferson County Commission, Department of Community Services & Workforce Development (DCSWD) is the recipient of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. DCSWD is seeking qualifications to provide Archaeological Services for the CDBG Brighton Sidewalks Improvements Project Qualifications for providing Archaeological Services for the CDBG Brighton Sidewalks Improvements Project must meet the following criteria: 1. Familiarity with the Jefferson County Commission, Department of Community Services and Workforce Development regulations related to the program. 2. Professional, practical, and reliable Archeological Services related to the Brighton Sidewalks Improvements Project. 3. Demonstrated depth of experience in delivering cost-effective Archaeological Services on at least a countywide level and the capacity to expand services to include the proposed project. 4. Demonstrated depth of experience in working with the Alabama Historical Commission and extensive knowledge of its regulations and guidelines. 5. Agreement to be responsive to DCSWD staff and maintain open lines of communication throughout the project, including County Administrative Services staff, in order to coordinate program delivery and reporting. 6. Established financial capacity to operate on a reimbursement basis with net 30 days terms. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
