Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Great Falls, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of installing new residual solids dewatering equipment at the Water Treatment Plant, a screw press, and making nec-essary infrastructure improve-ments to facilitate the screw press. The improvements con-sist of a new building to house the equipment, site improve-ments to provide truck access to haul dewatered solids off site, integrating the equipment with existing plant operations, and setting up operations and con-trol systems. The selected GCCM will participate in a col-laborative process to assist, as a partner, with the City, the Project Design Consultant, and other members of the design team in development and finalization of the design for the Water Treatment Plant Residu-al Solids Mitigation Project The intent of this solicitation is to identify qualified GCCM candidates in-terested in participating in a collaborative process to bring the City's Project to fruition in a timely and cost-efficient man-ner. From the list of interested and qualified GCCM candidates, the City will select the GCCM firm which is best qualified and best suits the City's needs and intent regarding the Project. It is anticipated that the selected GCCM will initially provide Preconstruction phase services and, assuming that the City's fi-nancial conditions attendant to the Project are met, will move forward with the provision of Construction phase services. GCCM candidates must be able to show the ability to bond a $10 million dollar project and show a minimum of three (3) success-ful projects in excess of $5 mil-lion in the past five (5) years performed as either a GC, GCCM, Construction Manger At-Risk (CMAR), or equivalent. The GCCM shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of all lo-cal, state and federal statutes. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all responses, to waive any and/or all informa-lities or technicalities, and to act in the best interest of the City. The Great Falls Water Treatment Plant (WTP) treats surface water from the Missouri River via conventional flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration treatment process. Residual solids, generally referred to as sludge, are generated from the primary/secondary clarification basins and clarification of filter backwash during the water treatment process. Currently, sludge is handled by either immediate discharge to the Wastewater Treatment Plant or onsite storage and thickening ponds.
