The Village of Oak Park is seeking bids to supply hot mix asphalt surface materials. The Village of Oak Park will receive bids for Asphalt Materials for 2022 at the Public Works Service Center, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at 201 South Boulevard, Oak Park, Illinois 60302. The Streets Division periodically requests bids for N50 Surface hot mix asphalt purchased throughout the year. Vendors are asked to submit a bid and that the price be good for the calendar year of 2022. The Village purchases approximately 100 tons of surface hot mix asphalt throughout the year. The average load of surface hot mix asphalt will be five to seven tons which will be picked up by employees of the Village of Oak Park. These amounts may increase or decrease depending on the work load for the year. The Village of Oak Park as a municipality pays neither Federal Excise Tax nor Illinois Retailers Occupational Tax, and therefore these taxes should be excluded from quotations. In responding to this Request for Bids, the official logo of the Village of Oak Park is not to be used in any form. Use of the Village logo is strictly prohibited by law and such use could subject the proposer to disqualification. Any Bidder may withdraw their bid at any time prior to the time specified in this Request for Bids as the closing time for the receipt of bids, by signing a request therefore. However, no Bidder shall withdraw or cancel their bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after said advertised closing time for the receipt of bids; the successful Bidder shall not withdraw or cancel their bid after having been notified by the Director of Public Works or his designee that said bid has been accepted by the Village Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or to waive technicalities, or to accept any item of any bid.
