Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lakewood, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This contract provides for the construction of Installation of cement concrete sidewalks within the right-of-way along the west-side of Phillips Road SW between Agate Dr. SW and Onyx Dr. SW in the City of Lakewood. Work includes but is not limits to: clearing and grub-bing of trees and existing vegeta-tion within right-of-way, cutting existing asphalt and concrete, removal of old storm drain catch basins, installation of new storm drain pipe and catch basins, installation of cement concrete sidewalk, 11MA patching, placing driveways, removal and replace-ment, of existing fence and land-scaping items, and all other nec-essary work and equipment to complete the project as speci-fied and shown in the Contract Documents. This project is federally fund-ed with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, CF DA No. 14.218 from the U.S. Department, of Housing and Urban Development, and is sub-ject to Title 24 CFR 570 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations as amended. This project. is sub-ject to Prevailing Wages and Labor Standards. Minority and women owned businesses and Section 3 contractors are encour-aged to submit bids. Bidders shall not be discriminated against on grounds of sex, race, color, age, religion, national origin, disabil-ity, or other protected classes. Contractors are encouraged to hire apprentices and Section 3 residents. Bidders are encouraged to consider minority and women owned businesses as potential subcontractors and material sup-pliers for this project. Contractors shall not be debarred from partici-pating in bidding on state or feder-ally funded contracts. The City of Lakewood reserves the right, to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the call for bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served.
