All bidders must adhere to all conditions listed in the RFP. Bidders will be notified of selection within one week of the District fs selection via U.S. Mail. Bidders are welcome to be present at the time of the bid opening. The contract will be awarded to the qualified proposer whose proposal is most advantageous to the school district. The Bells ISD reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, or part of any or all proposals, and to waive any formalities in the bidding process. Award of the contract is contingent upon Board approval. General Conditions and Scope of Services Sought: 1. Replacement of 13 Rooftop HVAC Units and thermostats. a. 1 - 7.5 ton unit b. 3 - 10 ton units c. 6 - 12.5 ton units d. 3 - 15 ton units Bells Independent School District 1550 Ole Ambrose Rd. A Certificate of Insurance must be filed with the school district by the successful contractor. 5. Brand name of units and unit prices must be included in each proposal. To ensure proper receipt of bid response, please include the company name, bid number, and bid contact information on the bid proposal. Site Visit Information Interested contractors are required to visit and inspect the site prior to submitting a proposal in order to familiarize themselves with the work requirements. The district fs Maintenance Director will assist in all site visits. Failure to visit the school prior to submitting a proposal will not relieve the Contractor of any obligation to confirm their ability to perform the work indicated in the Scope of Work. Evaluation and Selection Procedures The successful proposal will be the proposal that best meets the following criteria: - Cost - Experience with HVAC replacement in school districts. - References and quality of work. - Evidence of insurability and financial stability. - Reputation and quality of service The Bells ISD is not required to accept the proposal that includes the lowest fee. The Bells ISD fs acceptance of a proposal does not imply that every element of that proposal has been accepted. Proposals that do not meet these requirements will not be evaluated.
