The Board of Education for Jacksonville School District #117 will receive sealed bids from prequalified roofing contractors at the Office of the Superintendent, 211 West State Street, Jacksonville, Illinois, 62650 for: Wood Shop Roof Replacement JACKSONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL 1211 North Diamond Street Jacksonville, Illinois 62650. Generally, the work includes removal ofexisting roofs, insulation and sheet metal and installation ofnew roofing, insulation and sheet metal. Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. Specifications and Drawings will beavailable upon request at the Office of the Architect, Graham & Hyde Architects, Inc., 1010 Clocktower Drive, Springfield, Illinois, 62704, 217-787-9380. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782- 6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid anotarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as aresult of aviolation of either Section 33 E-3 or33E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of this Project Manual. Failure of Bidders tosubmit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid. Surety on bond shall be by adulyauthorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business inthe State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Board of Education for Jacksonville School District #117 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive anyirregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. Nobid shall bewithdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
