Renovation of a municipal facility in Gameti, Northwest Territories. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Northwest Territories Power Corporation requires the removal of existing and installation of new diesel gensets at both Gameti and Whati Power Plants (one unit per community). The Whati and Gameti Power Plants are a non-integrated communities that have three diesel Gensets per location where any combination of the three units may run depending on the community load. Due to the growth of the power demand in each community, generation capacity is not enough to meet the power requirements and the existing 175kW Caterpillar model Gensets will be replaced with a 250kW continuous rated diesel gensets.
