Renovation of a multi-residential development in Cleveland, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
PROJECT LOCATION-Lakeview Terrace, 1332 West 28th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44113. a. This project consists of masonry facade repairs on 10 buildings (G35, G36, G37, G38, G39, G40, G41, G45, G47, and G48) at Lakeview Terrace. The work includes lintel repairs and replacement, roof coping repairs and replacement, caulking, brick repairs and replacement, tuck-pointing of masonry joints throughout all 10 buildings as indicated in the scope of work and project general notes, or as specified during the walk- through. b. Installation of ventilation fans in the units (bathroom and kitchen) on 14 buildings (G35, G36, G37, G38, G39, G40, G41, G42, G43, G44, G45, G46, G47, and G48). The work includes hard wiring two exhaust fans with specified controls as indicated in the scope of work and project general notes, or as specified during the walk- through. The properties will remain occupied during the project. The contractor is required to keep the job site safe at all times. Contractors are required to field verify all measurements for bidding purposes. The construction estimate range for this project is between $1,915,000.00 - $2,645,000.00 The project consists of but is not limited to: Masonry façade repairs on 10 buildings including lintel repairs and replacement, roof coping repairs and replacement, brick repairs and replacement, tuck pointing, and installation of exhaust fans at 15 buildings in the bathrooms and kitchens of occupied dwelling units. With the submission of this bid, the bidder is required to provide an MBE/FBE Subcontracting Plan in accordance with CMHA's "Small Disadvantaged Business Program for Minority and Female Business Enterprise Participation", dated December 1994. The MBE/FBE Subcontracting Plan shall detail specifically how the bidder intendsto meet an MBE participation goal of twenty percent (20%), and an FBE participation goal of ten percent (10%) in accordance with the program. Only minority and female businesses certified under CMHA's Small, Disadvantaged Business Program will be considered in meeting the goal achievement. The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) shall receive bids for Masonry Façade Repairs And Ventilation At Lakeview Terrace. Each bid must be accompanied by a properly executed Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check on a solvent bank, made payable to the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority in an amount which shall not be less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, as amended. CMHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of CMHA. Bids shall be firm and cannot be withdrawn for a period of 120 calendar days, subsequent to the opening of bids, without the consent of CMHA. CMHA is a Political Subdivision of the State of Ohio and is exempt from all taxes.
