Addition to an educational facility in Kamloops, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 68,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, 525-seat educational facility.
Expansion project which will add 20 classrooms, a new gymnasium, multi-purpose areas and innovative education spaces including tech-ed, film studio, computer lab, electronica room, drafting room to the school. TIMELINE: Site preparation began June 2020; structural work began summer 2020. Awarded trades will not be released for publication. The expansion project is expected to be completed in time for the 2022-2023 school year. *The expansion to the school will cost $34.5 million; the province contributing $32.7 million and the Kamloops-Thompson school district is contributing $1.75 million. *The contract was awarded following a competitive bid in June 2020.
