Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shoreline, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Bids for these projects came in higher than estimated, some of the materials required to complete the projects are not currently available due to supply chain issues that have been evident during the coronavirus pandemic, and the projects could not be completed over the summer. Rejecting all bids will delay completion of the projects, but allow the District to monitor the market and determine a more favorable time to call for bids in the future. Work includes but is not limit-ed to converting an existing natu-ral grass field to a synthetic turf surface; Installation and maintenance of temporary erosion and sedimentation controls; Selective Demolition of existing utilities, pavements, and improvements; Earthwork including management of soil moisture content, stripping; excavations & fills in support of the construction generally but including utilities, field bases, storm-water detention, and fencing, compaction and density control, and export of soil material in excess of that necessary to complete the work; Storm Drainage Utilities including new storm drailis, piping, control structures, detention facilities, and water quality treatment systems; Concrete work including curbs and flatwork; Chain Link Fencing systems; Battery Operated Automatic Irrigation Systems; Complete, vertically draining permeable aggregate field base including field subsurface drainage; Site Furnishings and Equipment including soccer goals and anchors; Coordination. and Cooperation with Contractors working on the Owner's behalf on the project site; Maintenance of the work in progress through. Final Completion; Final Cleaning; Warranties. The Shoreline School District C District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities The right is reserved by the District to postpone contract award for the period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening.
