Consideration for award of the Bid will be made on April 25, 2022 at the City of Seagraves City Council meeting, 309 Hill Street, Seagraves, Texas. Bids are invited upon the items and quantities of work as identified in the Bid Proposal. This contract is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board. Attention ts called to the following requirements: Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Texas Water Development Board. Neither the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), State of Texas nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the United States Iron and Steel (U.S. I&S) requirements of Texas Water Code 17.183 and/or Texas Government Code, Chapter 2252, Subchapter G, as amended by SB 1289, 85th Legislative Session, as applicable. All Requests for Information (RFI's) by Contractors during the bidding process must be submitted to the Engineer by typed, electronic means. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check drawn upon a national or state bank, a negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value), or a bid bond from a reliable surety company, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Seagraves, as a guarantee that the bidder shall enter into a contract and execute a performance bond and a payment bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of the contract to him. The notice of award of contract will be given by the City of Seagraves within ninety (90) days following the opening of bids. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in bids recetved.
