Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Is Soliciting Proposals From Qualified Contractors for Construction Services and Material Delivery on the Upcoming Project. Firms Must Show Experience With Instream Construction and Demonstrated Experience With Instream Habitat Restoration Including the Utilization of Wood Debris. The Tribes Are Actively Involved in the Management of Resources on Their Ceded Lands Which Includes Fisheries of the Hood River Basin in Cooperation With the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Hood River Projection Program , the Bonneville Power Administration and the Hood River Watershed Group. Project Description: Neal Creek Is an Important Clear Water Tributary of the Hood River. It Has Been Estimated to Contribute Up to 10% of the Steelhead Production for the Hood River Basin and Has a Viable Population of Coho Salmon. The Goal of the Project Is to Increase the Quantity and Quality of Steelhead and Coho Spawning and Rearing Habitat Along 0.6 Miles of the Neal Creek by Restoring Ecological Processes, Including Stream-floodplain Interaction, Nutrient Cycling, and Maintenance of Instream Habitat Complexity. The Project Is on Private Properties and Is Located Approximately 2 Miles East of Odell, Oregon. This Project Contains Federal Funding and Subject to Davis-bacon and Bonding Requirements. A Bid Bond of 5% of the Total Proposed Amount Must Accompany the Submittal. Performance and Payment Bonds in the Amount of 100% of Total Contract Amount Will Be Required of the Successful Awardee. The Estimated Price Range for This Project Is Between $250,000 and $500,000 and Is Primarily Funded by Bonneville Power Administration and Is Subject to All Applicable Rules and Regulations.
