Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Monroe, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a 200-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Project consists of installation of new canopy with lighting and sidewalk extension, accessible ramp from classroom building to mobile units, kitchen renovations including new cooler enclosure and electrical renovation of six panels. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Submit bid security with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. In accordance with NCGS Chapter 133-3, the following manufacturers and products are being considered by the Owner for this Project: Exterior Canopies: Peachtree Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and meet specified qualifications, and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. The Union County Board of Education has adopted a Minority Participation Policy compliant with the North Carolina State Minority recommendations. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate.
