Renovation of a residential development in Gouverneur, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Contract No. 1 - General Rehabilitation - Base Bid 127 Grove Street Base Bid - Furnish and Install various rehabilitation materials and labor to include: Furnish and Install new fascia and soffit, furnish and install two (2) new 200 amp electrical service panels (house and apartment), Furnish and Install one (1) new exterior outlet (apartment), Furnish and Install one (1) walk in shower commode in the apartment unit. Furnish and Install one (1) full size bathtub/shower unit in the house, Furnish and Install new plumbing under the kitchen sink in the main house, Furnish and Install new sliding glass door with screen door in the main house, and Furnish and Install basement insulation. Additionally, the Base Bid will also require new smoke & carbon monoxide detectors along with lead hazard rehabilitation work items. Contract No. 1 - General Rehabilitation - Additive Bid No. 1 127 Grove Street Base Additive Bid - Furnish and Install various rehabilitation materials and labor to include: Furnish & Install one (1) new exterior storm door and one (1) new entrance door in the apartment. Contract No. 1 - General Rehabilitation - Additive Bid No. 2 127 Grove Street Base Additive Bid - Furnish and Install all labor and material necessary to repair, replace, and reinforce the rear foundation portion of the house The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to lead certifications. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. Bid Solicitations and Contract Documents are provided by the Development Authority of the North Country as part of the Authority's due diligence in its role as the CDBG Housing Program Sub-Recipient for the Town of Gouverneur. The Town of Gouverneur is the recipient of the New York State CDBG Grant funding. The Development Authority, working with Town of Gouverneur staff, will review all bids submitted for completeness. The Development Authority will make recommendation to the homeowner on the lowest responsible bidder. The Rehabilitation Contract will be between the Homeowner and the Contractor. MWBEs and Section 3 contractors are encouraged to apply. The contractor will ensure that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this NYS CDBG-assisted project will be extended to lower-income project area residents. Further, the contractor will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area, in the award of contracts and purchase of services and supplies.
