Please note that if you are submitting a proposal via the U.S. Postal Service, address your submittal to the City of West Chicago, 475 Main Street, West Chicago, Illinois 60185. All bid proposals are to be made on the forms provided and will be made a part of the contract documents to be executed with the City. Bid proposals are to be received in a sealed 9"x12" or 10"x13' envelope.
The envelope shall be marked: "SEALED BID - STOCKBERRY LN., GROVE AVE., AND INGALTON HILL ESTATES AREA RESURFACING PROJECT, and the name of the bidder" The work as shown on the plans and as specified herein consists mainly of roadway resurfacing and concrete flat work. The work is to be performed on and along Stockberry Lane in the Cornerstone Lakes Subdivision; Grove Avenue, east of Neltnor Boulevard (IL Route 59); and Ingalton Ave, Hahndorf St., Lillian Ln., Hill Ct., and Amber Ct., within the Ingalton Hill Estates and Willow Creek East Subdivisions.
The net length of roadway improvements is approximately 6,514 feet (1.24 miles) within the City of West Chicago in DuPage County. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following items: pavement milling, hot-mix asphalt (HMA) binder and surface course installation, PCC curb and gutter removal and replacement, PCC sidewalk removal and replacement, parkway/ditch restoration, manhole structure repair and adjustments, thermoplastic pavement markings and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the Plans and described herein. All questions regarding the bid shall be submitted in writing to publicworks@westchicago.org by 12:00 PM (CST) Monday, April 18, 2022. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the scheduled closing time for a period of ninety (90) days. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any informality in any bid proposal, to re-advertise the proposed services, and to accept the proposal most advantageous to the City.
