Renovation of a municipal facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of May 2, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The area is a 42'x82' square of flooring in the internal machine shop, the area consists of joints and different areas of concrete where the floors have been broken up and replaced. The concrete is saturated with oil in some areas and has many imperfections. There are multiple floor protrusions that provide electrical for the machinery. PORT HOUSTON WILL REMOVE ALL MACHINERY PRIOR TO START OF WORK. o SHOT BLAST and completely vacuum area to a smooth dustless state to provide a superior penetration of vapor barrier coating minimizing pits and floor imperfections floor must be compatible to ASTM C722 -18 standards for monolithic coatings. Preparations for a Citadel epoxy/polyurea/polyurethane floor coating system. Areas of the floor will need an inspection for uneven areas. These must be floated to a smooth surface prior to the coatings. o APPLY 1 coat of Citadel Ultra Hydro Stop H20 vapor barrier applied at 150 SQ FT per Gallon. o Areas that need floating are to be floated on top of the vapor barrier using Citadel SLE100, being a 100% solids epoxy with added fumed silica or cellulose at a rate determined to fill imperfections. (Inspection prior to the bid may be required) o APPLY 1 coat of 2-part Citadel Poly350 polyurea pigmented to match texture color as the primer coat, applied at 150 SQ FT per Gallon. o Apply a full broadcast of the selected 1/4" texture color. TBD o Scrape, sand and clean up excessive and loose texture prior to topcoats. o APPLY 1 coat of 2-part Citadel RG80 Polyaspartic as the build coat on top of texture, applied at 120 SQ FT per Gallon. o APPLY 1 coat of 2-part Citadel RG80 top coat applied at 350 SQ FT per Gallon o Add a #240 mesh Aluminum Oxide with final coat at 1 lb. per gallon of urethane for desired scratch resistance: Floor preparation and installation of coating with anti-slip additive to create a safe non-slip surface for the port of houston authority (pha) turning basin terminal equipment machine shop located at 7300 clinton drive, gate 8, houston, tx 77020. Site visit not mandatory; contractor must be certified by citadel floors as an installer of their products and must produce a certificate as licensed installer directly from citadel floors; mininum 5 year workman warranty; product warranty supplied by citadel floors; contractor is responsible for having valid identification for every worker that comes into 7300 clinton drive, the requirements may be obtained at porthouston.Com/port-security/safety-and-credential-information; workers hours are from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm weekdays. Project will be supervised by port personnel. If work hours go into an overtime (12-I pm) that evolution must be approved by the maintenance manager 24 hours prior to the start of day. Contractor must get approval to work from the maintenance manager at least 72 hours prior to arrival and will have 7 consecutive days to complete these repairs. Contractor should be able to ensure vapor barrier has 12 hours to cure fully before applying the build coat. Contractor must provide hookups and equipment, notably generators, if their equipment isn't compatible with a standard 115v/15a circuit. Project amount not to exceed $48,500.
