Durham Public Schools is seeking bids for a turnkey boiler replacement at Forest View Elementary School located at 3007 Mt Sinai Rd, Durham, NC 27705. Durham Public Schools is seeking bids for a turnkey boiler replacement at Forest View Elementary School located at 3007 Mt Sinai Rd, Durham, NC 27705.Remove offsite two existing Weil McLain 888 boilers, two boiler pumps, boiler vent pipes, and associated accessories. Remove domestic water heater vent pipe. Provide and install two new gas-fired condensing boilers, two boiler pumps, and associated piping, vents, insulation, and accessories. Provide new vent pipe for the existing gas-fired domestic water heater. Make safe and disconnect associated mechanical equipment circuits. Remove boiler circuits. Remove and replace original panelboard with new panelboard. Extend and reconnect panelboard feeder. Extend and reconnect existing pump circuits. Provide new boiler circuits. Provide a 5-year warranty. Duct and Pipe Insulation - Duct and piping insulation performance shall meet or exceed the requirements of ASHRAE 90.1. Minimum thickness shall be 1". Provide saddle/shield at hangers and supports to protect insulation. Provide 20 gage smooth aluminum or 20 mil PVC jacket on all insulated duct/piping visible to view within the building. Duct/Piping within the building not visible to view shall be provided with an 8 oz. canvas rosin jacket. Exterior duct/piping shall be provided with 20 gage smooth aluminum all services jacket and Z shaped locking seam The District has established MWBE/HUB goals to meet or exceed the State goals of 10%. SCOPE OF WORK/ACCEPTANCE OF WORK In the event acceptance criteria for any work or deliverables is not described in contract documents or work orders hereunder, Durham Public Schools shall have the obligation to notify Vendor, in writing ten (10) calendar days following completion of such work or deliverable described in the Contract that it is not acceptable. The notice shall specify in reasonable detail the reason(s) it is unacceptable. Acceptance by Durham Public Schools shall not be unreasonably withheld; but may be conditioned or delayed as required for reasonable review, evaluation, installation or testing, as applicable of the work or deliverable. Final acceptance is expressly conditioned upon completion of all applicable assessment procedures. Should the work or deliverables fail to meet any requirements, acceptance criteria or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, Durham Public Schools may exercise any and all rights hereunder, including, for deliverables, such rights provided by the Uniform Commercial Code as adopted in North Carolina.
