This project includes, but is not limited to: mobilization, surveying, traffic control, edge grind, crack sealing, remove and replace AC paving, removal of existing traffic striping and markers, Type I and II Rubber Polymer Modified Slurry Seal (RPMS), replace traffic striping, markers, and other incidental items of work. This project will provide for the slurry sealing of various streets in the City of Cypress within the City right-of-way. The scope of work for this project includes, but shall not be limited to, the following: mobilization, surveying, traffic control, edge grind, crack sealing, remove and replace AC paving, removal of existing traffic striping and markers, Type I and II Rubber Polymer Modified Slurry Seal (RPMS), replace traffic striping, markers, and other incidental items of work. E-mail inquiries are to be sent to: abangean@cypressca.org All work shall be completed within Twenty Five (25) working days following written Notice to Proceed from the City. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security referred to in the contract documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of insurance, a performance bond, and a labor and materials bond as specified in the contract documents will be required prior to execution of the contract. Pursuant to the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes applicable to the work to be done. This rate and scale are on file with the City Engineer, and copies will be made available to any interested party on request. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and the subcontractors under him, must pay not less than these rates for this area to all workers employed in the execution of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding and to make awards in the interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of bids.
