The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: procuring materials, traffic control, removal and disposal existing internally illuminated street name signs at traffic signals, installation of new National Edge-Lit LED Street Name Signs at traffic signals, minor wiring, and testing of all street name signs furnished and installed. If not included as an attachment to these Bid Documents, the Contractor may obtain The Brown Book at the Public Works counter for a fee of $5 or for download through the Citys website. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall obtain and maintain a valid City business license. The Contractor shall also obtain a no-fee Public Right-of-Way Construction and Encroachment Permit from the Citys Public Works Department. Both the permit and the license shall be valid for the entire construction period and shall be kept at the job site at all times. All provisions of the permit shall apply and shall have authority over any conditions contained herein these Special Provisions. Any costs incurred due to compliance with the permit or in obtaining a city business license or any other required permit or license shall be included in the contract cost for the work item involved and no additional payment will be made. Failure to comply with these specific licensing and permit requirements will result in withholding of any progress payment(s) to the Contractor.
