As of June 23, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Sealed bids will be accepted by Los Angeles County Public Works, Project Management Division III, for the construction of approximately 4,060 linear feet of 36-inch diameter steel transmission main and the performance of other appurtenant work under Project ID No. WWD4004012, Avenue K Transmission Main Phase IIIA, in the City of Lancaster. The work is estimated to cost between $3,700,000 and $5,500,000 and shall be completed in 110 working days. Prebid questions regarding the Plans and Specifications shall be submitted via email only to: Mr. Matt Nazaroff at mnazaroff@pw.lacounty.gov. Prebid questions will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022. Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bond payable to County of Los Angeles in an amount equal to at least 10 percent of the bid to guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if it is so awarded All persons performing the work shall be paid not less than the General Prevailing Wage Determination prepared by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to the State Labor Code. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to a responsible contractor with the lowest responsive bid; however, the Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
