As of 5/13/2022, The County of El Dorado, Department of Transportation (Transportation) regretfully cancels the invitation for bids for the San Bernardino Class 1 Bike Trail Project (Project). Transportation would like to thank all Planholders for their interest and patience on the above referenced Project. Pursuant to the provisions of El Dorado County Ordinance code 3.14.080 and California Public Contract Code 22038, Transportation intends to re-evaluate the cost estimates for this Project and re-bid the Project this year. All prospective bidders will be notified when the Project is being re-advertised for bid. The Work to be done is shown on the Plans, and generally consists of, but is not limited to: Construct a Class 1 shared use trail. The project includes an 8-foot wide paved path with 2-foot aggregate base shoulders, precast concrete boardwalk system, tubular steel railing, and a prefabricated bridge (approximately 12 feet wide and 140.25 feet long) over the Upper Truckee River. Construction also includes clearing and grubbing, tree removal, excavation and grading, asphalt concrete paving, drainage improvements, bridge abutments, signing and striping, pavement markings, revegetation, dewatering, traffic control, and temporary erosion control. Other items or details not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, Standard Plans, Standard Specifications, or these Special Provisions must be performed, constructed or installed. This is a one hundred (100) working day Project.
